Tuesday’s 4:-4:45pm (Kinder- Second Grade)
Wednesdays- 4-4:45 (Third grade- Fifth grade)
Thursdays-4:30-5:30 (Middle School)
Children in need of explicit social skills instruction and opportunity to practice social skills in a structured, supported, and safe and fun environment, benefit from the time spent learning and practicing social-emotional skills within this small group class. This class uses the, "Social Thinking," research and methodology and works with "The Zones of Regulation," approach to emotional regulation, as well as mindfulness and original tricks tailored to the needs of each group. This course is well suited to children with social anxiety, ASD, Aspergers, ADHD, and general impulse control and behavioral challenges. Together we have fun gathering, playing games, crafting, having a snack and occasionally playing at the park across the street from the office, while learning, practicing and integrating social emotional skills.
