Social Emotional & Academic Support and Enrichment for Neurodiverse Learners

Open Mind

Learning

Designed for Neurodivergent Learners

We offer thoughtfully designed spaces created specifically to support neurodivergent children 18 months through 18 years! Our programs honor different learning styles, sensory needs, communication differences, and developmental paths, providing structure, flexibility, and belonging in equal measure.

Social Emotional Skill Building

Our programs are designed to strengthen confidence, emotional regulation, communication, and peer connection. Through guided activities, collaborative games, and real-life practice, children develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Engaging Hands On Experiences

Children learn best by doing. Our camps, groups, and events are interactive, creative, and thoughtfully structured to balance fun with meaningful growth, helping kids build independence while feeling connected and supported.

Local, Specialized Academic and Interpersonal Support

Open Mind Learning provides local educational and social-emotional support to families in Napa, Sonoma, and surrounding communities. We are dedicated to helping toddlers through teens impacted by learning differences, such as ADHD, autism, anxiety, dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, developmental delays, and learners who are gifted and/or twice exceptional, both academically and emotionally. (2e) Through personalized, strengths-based instruction, we focus on what each child can do, building skills, confidence, and long-term success.

What Makes Open Mind Learning Different?

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all learning - we believe in creating a curriculum that firs the child, and grows and changes along with them - meeting their unique needs every step of the way. Every child’s brain works differently and that’s something we celebrate and use as the basis for how we help children learn.. Instead of forcing students into rigid systems, we meet them where they are and support growth at their pace, in ways that align with how they learn best.

Through both individualized one-on-one support and intentional small groups, we provide personalized attention, flexibility, and meaningful connection. This allows us to truly understand each child’s strengths and challenges, creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and capable of real growth, all the while, having fun and growing confidence I who they are as a learner and individual.

Why Open Mind Learning Stands Apart

Families often find themselves choosing between tutoring, traditional learning centers, or community-based programs each offering pieces of support, but rarely the whole picture. Open Mind Learning was intentionally designed to bridge that gap.

Unlike standard academic programs, our approach integrates social-emotional development, executive functioning support, and personalized instruction within small, relationship-centered environments. We specialize in serving neurodivergent learners, offering both one-on-one sessions and thoughtfully structured groups that prioritize flexibility, sensory awareness, and meaningful connection.

Open Mind Learning is not just academic or social-emotional support and enrichment. It’s a comprehensive, strengths-based learning space where children can grow confidently, authentically, and at their own pace.
