Social Skills Groups

Ages 4-Teenage

At Open Mind Learning, our social skills groups help children ages 4 - teenage build confidence, empathy, and friendship skills through play, creativity, and guided connection. Each session combines hands-on activities with real-time coaching in communication, self-regulation, and problem-solving. Families see meaningful growth as children learn to connect, collaborate, and thrive-both in and beyond our groups.

Intentional Skill Focus

Each six-week Social Skills Group is built around targeted social-emotional goals such as conversation skills, emotional regulation, perspective-taking, and friendship building giving children consistent opportunities to practice and grow each week.

Support That Extends Beyond the Group

We provide structured sessions, individualized support within the group, and ongoing caregiver communication to help reinforce progress outside of Open Mind Learning. Our goal is not just practice during group time, but growth that carries into school, home, and everyday life.

Real-Time Social Practice

Our sessions are interactive and relationship-centered. Through guided activities, stories, role-play, collaborative games, and facilitated peer interaction, children practice skills in real time with supportive coaching along the way.

Big Growth, Real Impact.

Open Mind Learning offers year-round six-week Social Skills Groups designed to support toddlers through teens in building play-skills, social communication, confidence, and meaningful peer connections. Each group is thoughtfully structured by age range and developmental presentation, providing guided social practice in a safe, relationship-centered environment.

Build Meaningful Social Connections

It all begins with connection. Maybe your child is learning how to start a conversation. Maybe they’re working on reading social cues or managing big emotions in a group setting. Or maybe they simply need a safe place to practice friendship and feel understood.

Our groups are intentionally kept small, with 2-6 children and two adult facilitators who guide, teach, and support the group, maintaining a maximum 3:1 child-to-adult ratio. Further, during each 6 week session, families receive three individualized reports with updates and insights about their child’s progress.

$625 per six week session

$325 per three week session and $425 per four week session
