Story to Statement
For Rising 12th Grade Learners
A supportive, step-by-step small group and individualized workshop designed to help students with learning differences turn their ideas and experiences into authentic, compelling college essays.
Your Story. Your Voice. Your Future.
Story to Statement is a step-by-step college essay workshop designed specifically for rising 12th-grade students with learning differences who are preparing to apply to college.
Every student has a story worth telling. For many students with learning differences, the challenge isn't having a meaningful story, it's organizing their thoughts, putting them into words, and creating a college essay that truly reflects who they are.
Through six small-group workshops and two individual coaching sessions, students receive the structure, executive functioning support, and personalized guidance needed to move from a blank page to a polished personal statement. By the end of the program, each student will have a completed college essay that authentically represents their voice and experiences, while feeling confident and prepared for the college application process.
Six 1.5 hour small group meetings and two 1 hour individual sessions (one individual session at the beginning of the process and another towards the end). This becomes a total of 11 hours of prep towards a winning college essay.
